Tree trimming, palm skinning and stump grinding, cleaned up and hauled away — in San Francisco and all around it.
A tree or a palm that hasn't been touched in a while builds up dead wood, crossing limbs and heavy overgrown fronds that catch wind and rain in a way a well-kept crown doesn't. La Bendición Lawn trims trees and skins and trims palms across San Francisco and the Bay Area, and grinds out the stump when a tree has already come down or needs to.
In the Oakland hills and around San Rafael and Marin, overgrown trees and brush aren't just untidy — they're a fire-safety concern, and clearance around a home is something a property owner has to stay on top of. Wherever you are in our service area, we come look at the tree or palm in person before saying what it needs, and we clean up and haul everything before we leave.
Trimming means taking out dead and crossing wood, reducing weight on the long ends that catch wind, and opening the crown so light and air move through it — cut back to a growth point, not left as a stub. Palms get their own approach: skinning off old dead fronds and boots along the trunk and trimming the live crown, which is a different skill than trimming a broadleaf tree and not something to hand a homeowner with a ladder.
Stump grinding is its own step, not an afterthought — once a tree is down, the stump gets ground below grade so the spot can be planted over, paved over, or just walked across without a hazard sitting there. Good trim work looks understated when it's done: the tree or palm looks lighter and healthier, not butchered, and every bit of brush and wood goes out with us the same visit.
We look at the tree, palm or stump from the ground and tell you what it actually needs — sometimes less than you expected.
You get the number before anything starts, and it doesn't move unless the job changes.
The tree gets thinned and cut back to growth points, the palm gets skinned and trimmed, or the stump gets ground out — whichever the job calls for.
Brush, fronds, wood chips and stump grindings all go out with us — the yard gets raked before we leave.
The Bay Area is not one climate — a fog-belt yard in Daly City, a sunny Oakland hillside and a Marin property under fire-safety rules each need different care, and we work in all three.
